A client advises us
which products they are searching for. These products should be
manufactured in China or Hong Hong, as this is where we have over
300 agents and where we do all our sourcing.
There are almost one billion products manufactured in China.
Although we are unable to source every single product, we manage to
source a large percentage of what our clients are searching for.
A requirement for sourcing is that the client provides us with as
much information as possible regarding the product. These should
include photographs, specifications (such as sizes, measurements,
weights, colours, thread-count, stitching specs, styles, packaging,
quantities, their target price etc). Although the client does not
need to provide us with all of the requirements, we ask them to give
us as much information as possible as this will greatly assist our
agents in locating either the exact or similar product much sooner.
In regards to the client's "target price" , we require this
information to assist our agents while they are attempting to source
the product, for example, it's unnecessary to spend many hours
looking for products which may be exactly what the client requires
but the cost is much higher than what the client's prepared to pay.
Being "armed" with the client's "target price", the agents are able
to sift out those products which are in excess of the "target price"
and concentrate on the price range which is required.
Some newer clients may be sceptical or cautious about providing a
"target price" but we assure those clients that we stand by our
integrity as we have done since our humble beginnings, after-all, if
a client is unhappy with our efforts, they simply go elsewhere. We
have worked hard to build our business and we value each and every
client, regardless of whether they are large or small and we
definitely don't wish to lose their patronage.
We also specialize in securing reputable manufacturing companies who
are able to manufacture and produce self-designed or custom-designed
products to Australian Standards or to the CE certification.
Another popular service is securing construction and engineering
products such as sandstone, natural rock, special timber doors,
large copper or brass doors etc, the sky is the limit, so just ask. |

Once we receive our
client's sourcing request, we provide this information to our office
in China who, in-turn disseminate the information to all agents.
This usually occurs within one week (most times sooner) after
receiving the sourcing request.
Our agents are locals and experts in their fields. They abide by our
strict privacy policy regarding the ACCC laws, Principles and Acts.
Rest assured that no personal information or product information is
ever divulged to anyone outside of our business and our client's
identities are always withheld from third parties overseas and only
ever provided to organizations authorised by Australian Laws and
for delivery purposes. |

Locating the products
is the easy part, then come the negotiations. Once agents locate the
products, we are notified here in Sydney and the negotiations are
carried out in regards to minimum orders, price per unit, freight,
insurance etc. The outcome of these negotiations are then referred
to our client for their acceptance. We will continue to strive to
meet all the requirements of our client until an acceptable offer
has been negotiated. |

We have successfully
imported tens of thousands of products into Australia over the years
and have many satisfied clients nationally as well as
internationally.
Once our client's products have been manufactured or secured, our
agents will arrange the freight, either by air or sea. The cost of
the freight would have been advised to and approved by the client
prior to the order being placed. This usually includes the cost of
the products, freight and insurance. |

It is popular belief
that the Chinese manufacturers and trading companies keep products
in stock, ready to ship out to the first buyer. This is far from
the truth as the main reason for the low cost of products in China,
besides labour, is that most products have to be manufactured when
orders are received. Manufacturers keep their overheads low and
eliminate the need to keep "dead" stock, thus freeing-up capital.
There are a few manufacturers who will have certain products and it
is our aim to locate these companies as much as possible, although
not always easy but it happens often. |

Importing can be
daunting especially if a client has never done it before, with many
questions to be asked such as , "what will the charges be?" or,
"Will I have to pay GST and Duty immediately or will I have to pay
it once I sell my products?" or, "What other charges are associated
with my imports?" Asking so many questions and many more is
something which is normal.
Although it is not always possible to give an exact figure of all
the charges, we are pretty good at estimating an approximate amount
in each case with the assistance of our licensed clearance agents.
All relevant paperwork such as declarations, invoices, packing slips
etc will be arranged by our agents prior to shipping and won't have
to be worried about by the client at all as this is usually one of
the major concerns for some new clients.
A quick answer to the most commonly asked question regarding GST is
that it is payable prior to Customs releasing any imported goods.
Once the client's shipment arrives, we will send them a Tax Invoice
for the amount required to clear the shipment. This is usually
payable immediately as we have between 4-5 days of free storage.
Any time after the deadline will be charged by the freight company
and this is not cheap. Therefore it is in everyone's best interests
to get the goods cleared as quickly as possible. |

After the shipment
has been cleared, we will arrange for it to be transported directly
to our client's nominated location. We will advise whether a
forklift is required as well as any other requirements, such as an
area large enough for the shipment to be unloaded and secured. Once
the shipment has been unloaded and signed for, it is the client's
responsibility to ensure that the goods are kept secure and
protected from the elements. The delivery cost is always advised to
the client and their approval is required before delivery
arrangements are made. |

As the amount of new
products increase so does the amount of imports increase. Thousands
of new products are designed and manufactured in China. We will
displaying "popular or new" products on our website from time to
time. |

From time to time, we
receive special offers from manufacturers who select some of their
products and promote it to importers at very special prices and low
minimum orders. We will be displaying these specials too. |

what do we import? The answer is not as simple as it seems. We
have many clients worldwide, each searching for specific products.
There is no specific category or products which we import as the
list of products grows continuously. The easiest way to describe
what we import is simply .... "whatever products our clients search

We know that it is
extremely tempting to absolutely lose oneself especially when they
now have a business which can source almost anything from China. We
receive many sourcing requests from new clients, sometimes with
requests for up to fifteen different products on a single sourcing
request. Although this is encouraging to us, most times after many
hours of sourcing all of these products, the client suddenly
realizes that they could never afford everything or that they never
really had any intention of ordering these products, they just got
carried away.
Clients sometimes don't realize that it costs money to source
products as the agents still have to get paid for sourcing work
which they carry out.
We ask clients to seriously think about which products they ask us
to source and when they are sure that these products are really what
they are searching for, then go ahead and send us the request.
Some clients have established suppliers with whom they have been
trading for several years. These suppliers have (more than likely)
purchased large quantities of certain products and would possibly be
supplying them with the best prices. What we say to all clients is
that if they are prepared to order the same amount of products as
their suppliers, then we are able to secure those products at a
better price but if the order is substantially smaller, the prices
will be higher.
THE GOLDEN RULE IS - THE LARGER THE
QUANTITY, THE LESS THE COST.
This has always been the rule since the start of trading worldwide
and will continue to be so.
There are instances where we are able to secure smaller quantities
for a lower price but please realize that if an order is for
extremely small amounts, the chances are that they would be more
likely to secure these amounts at reasonable prices directly from
their current suppliers.
Of course we will endeavour to achieve the best results at all
times. Small orders vary in size and depends upon what the product
is. For example:- a regular order of mobile phones may be 1000
pieces per make and per style a small order would be 200 pieces OR
let's say the regular order for T-Shirts would be 5000 pieces then a
small order would be around the 500 piece mark.
Many smaller clients request extremely small quantities of products
such as 50-100 pieces, we point out that depending what the products
are, they would be best suited to buy these amounts from a local
wholesaler. In any case, we ask clients to discuss their
requirements with us and we could point them in the right direction
or even be able to secure those items for them. |

It is natural for
some clients to request a sample or samples of products which they
would like to be sourced. Several years ago, most manufacturers
would gladly send us samples of their products at no charge. These
days, with thousands of customers worldwide, all requesting samples,
the cost is enormous to the manufacturers and the majority of them
now demand that customers pay for the samples and freight and the
cost is then deducted from their first order. The cost of samples
can be between 3 to 5 times the regular cost of the product. Their
philosophy is that if a customer is serious about their products,
they will pay the sample costs, knowing that it will be deducted
from the total of the order later. This is to stamp out customers
from securing, for example:- a $2000 LCD TV for $300 and never hear
from them again. |
